SUMMARY:Using Generative AI Tools for Supporting Academic Research and Writing
DESCRIPTION:Abstract\n\n\n\nThis workshop will provide a practical demonstration of using AI generative tools (e.g.\, EdUHK ChatGPT\, Bing AI Chat\, and Scite) to support various tasks in academic research and writing\, such as identifying a research topic\, conducting a literature review\, drafting a research paper. During the workshop\, participants will gain hands-on experience using AI generative tools in the research process. We will also deliver prompt composition tips and strategies for producing more relevant and appropriate outputs of AI generative tools for different tasks. Furthermore\, we will delve into the critical evaluation of AI-generated tools in the context of supporting academic research works.
