SUMMARY:Developing GenAI-empowered Customised Workflows
DESCRIPTION:Abstract\n\n\n\n\nThis advanced-level workshop will guide participants in harnessing the potential of multimodal large language models (LLMs) to create personalised\, GenAI-driven workflows. Building on the knowledge and skills acquired from introductory-level and intermediate-level workshops\, participants will delve into practical techniques for constructing LLM-powered solutions on the LTTC LLM Studio Model-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform. Through hands-on activities\, participants will develop two specific workflows for teaching and learning purposes in this workshop: (1) Automated Assessment Generation: Generate cloze tests from vocabulary lists\, complete with suggested answers and explanations; (2) Handwriting Recognition and Evaluation: Process handwritten articles for text recognition and automated evaluation. In addition to technical skills\, the workshop will facilitate critical discussions on the ethical and societal implications of LLMs in education. Participants will explore the potential benefits and risks of these technologies\, enabling informed decision-making and responsible implementation.

DESCRIPTION:Abstract\n\n\n\n\nThis intermediate-level workshop introduces practical solutions for using generative AI tools to support data processing and analysis tasks through interaction with large language models (LLMs) on the LTTC LLM Studio’s Model-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform. Participants with foundational knowledge in data analysis and AI acquired from our introductory-level workshop will gain hands-on experience utilizing generative AI in the data analysis process. Specifically\, they will create a custom application on the MaaS platform\, develop a specialized knowledge base tailored to their data analysis needs\, and generate statistical data descriptions based on their data. We will also discuss strategies such as prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to improve the relevance and quality of AI-generated outputs. Additionally\, participants will learn about the limitations of generative AI in data processing and analysis and how to critically assess the validity of AI-generated outputs.

DESCRIPTION:Abstract\nThis workshop aims to provide participants hands-on experience in creating smart workflows on a Model as a Service (MaaS) platform. Participants will learn how to assemble smart workflows that can react and respond according to the deployment of one or more generative AI models\, customised datasets\, and designated purposes. Participants will learn how to (1) enhance the workflow performance with their own datasets\, (2) select appropriate generative AI models such as GPT-4 Turbo\, Claude 3 Opus\, and LLaMA 3\, and (3) adopt other design options to optimise the created workflows. Additionally\, the workshop will guide participants in publishing the workflows they designed as agents on web pages or application programming interfaces (APIs).
