SUMMARY:Generative AI Tools for Data Processing and Analysis
DESCRIPTION:Abstract\n\n\n\n\nThis intermediate-level workshop introduces practical solutions for using generative AI tools to support data processing and analysis tasks through interaction with large language models (LLMs) on the LTTC LLM Studio’s Model-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform. Participants with foundational knowledge in data analysis and AI acquired from our introductory-level workshop will gain hands-on experience utilising generative AI in the data analysis process. Specifically\, they will create a custom application on the MaaS platform\, develop a specialised knowledge base tailored to their data analysis needs\, and generate statistical descriptions based on their data. We will also discuss strategies such as prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to improve the relevance and quality of AI-generated outputs. Additionally\, participants will learn about the limitations of generative AI in data processing and analysis and how to assess the validity of AI-generated outputs critically.
